Trio Busted Selling Marijuana, Flavored Nicotine Products At Long Island Business, Police Say

Three men are accused of selling marijuana out of a Long Island business.

Nassau County Police narcotics detectives conducted an investigation at the Convenience and Smoke shop, located in Bellerose Terrace on Jamaica Avenue, on Thursday, Jan. 25.

During their search, they allegedly found hundreds of bags or products containing THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, as well as products containing cannabis.

They also recovered thousands of flavored nicotine products that were on display for sale and in a back room, police said.

The following defendants were arrested and charged with two counts each of criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance:

  • Ahmed Mahmood Ali, age 22, of Brooklyn
  • Mohamedou Mohamed Sidiya, age 26, of Queens
  • Mohamed Abdellahi, age 27, of Queens

They were arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday, Jan. 26.
